"Since you wish it so, God wishes it so"

Since you wish it so, God wishes it so;
God grants the desires of the devoted.
In the past it was as if he belonged to God,
but now "God belongs to him"* has come in recompense.

Chon chonin khâvhi Khodâ khvâhad chonin
mi dehad Haqq ârzu-ye mottaqin
"Kâna lillâh" budeh-'i dar mâ-mazâ
tâ keh "Kâna Allâh"* pish âmad jazâ

*From a hadith of the Prophet: Whoever is for God,
God is for him (man kâna lillâh, kâna Allah lahu)
